I love to read, and I do it quite allot. Do i remember all the books I've read. No way. So why not have a proper book-book? Here I used a insert and two stamp sets that are just perfect!
I hardly ever scrapbook about others but when even I saw the "cool kid" line by Crate Paper I knew I wanted to make an album about my brother for Christmas. I really wanted to give him this, an album that captures him as a 13 year old and hopefully its something that he can look back on. How he looked this year and what he liked.
In the book I have written subjects on 3x4 card and than he has written in the answers. I have tried to add as much as I can of the teen-boy-stuff and what I know he likes.
I have tried to add in some random photos but also making some pages about events, like his vacation to Kreta. A few pages about school and his favorite topics.
I'm so happy whit how this album turned out, the mix of pockets and open pages. That I have his voice in here is by far the best thing!
What do you do when the printer doesn't print? My printer went on a strike this Sunday and doesn't seem to be willing to get back to work. So what I thought I would share my tips for when you can't or won't print your photos right away.
1. Journal. Each day I have written down a specific story and I'm so happy I decided to do that. Now I have the rutin and later I can just go back when I scrapbook that day.
2. Generic photos. I like to print out some generic photos in November to have for my DD. These can be photos from around your house, ornaments, nature and family. Photos that you can tell a story about for those empty days or when you simply don't have a photo.
3. Post-it it. I put my post-it on every page, sometime several on one page. Not only will these tell you that you have something planed but what and how it's planed.
What is better than a package of scrappy goodness on a rainy Thursday? Not much! Today I picked up my second Sirapsbox from Sirap I Paris. I was really happy with what I found inside!
The content of the box has a clear theme and is well put together. Of curse I wish there would be more but considering the price of scrappy things in Sweden I think they have done a great job! The cute packaging really adds value as you can use it again and the paperclips are just adorable!
The plus side of this box is that its from Sweden. It comes every other month and at a good price. I do wish that the content would be more clear if not showing the whole kit at least show parts of it before. This is one of the reasons why i waited so long to subscribe, I just didn't know what I would get...
If you found that is just not enough they offer an add-on kit for 170kr. Haven't been tempted yet but maybe I'll try that for next box?
In short, if you live in Sweden and want to get a box with some scrappy stuff every other month than check out Sirap I Paris.
I'm sorry to say that there is allot of missing prossec in the video but i thought you might want to see what ever there is. I will try to be better for the next days! Here we have the start of December:
Day 30 & December Intro
On the postcard I just wrote about why I do these albums and what has changed from the last year.
On the back of the calendar I just added a watercolor & gouache sketch and then day 1
Day 2 and 3 whit a "Home Alone" theme.
