Welcome to our website !
In our little town we have one park with a lake, in this lake hundreds of swans came each winter and every winter I drive past it and think, I should take my camera with me... Well this Tuesday I actually did, so when I had pick up my brother we walked around the lake and looked at these amazing birds.

I have a thing for birds, I really don't like them, except for swans, owls and flamingos...
But liking them or not, that are stunning
A day at the beach, or an ice floe
I have never seen any black swans, never hard that they would come here but there they were...
I think they are amazing and stunning and beautiful and amazing.

Now I really need some of Maggie Holmes "Bloom" stuff, that black swan paper especially!

We have a really good time walking even if it snowed/rained, and I'm now so inspired by these birds

To many of you I´m a scraper/crafter/painter but for the people in my "real life" I´m the Horse-Girl. We all have different hats to wear, some fit better then others. One of my most comfortable hats is really a riding helmet. I have been riding sens I was about 3 years old, my parents has always had horses and I have had 4 of my own. Horses has been a HUGE part of my life and was the reason I started scrapbooking. To document our completions and later more everyday training.

Later on I went to school, horse grooming. So if you didn´t know; I´m a trained horse groom. The last year at school we went in different lines, Dressage for me. Last winter and this winter I was working at the riding-school and loved it! But here is the thing: as a rider we forget (more like ignore) our self so after falling of one to many times and not doing anything about it my back just said NO! Witch no looking back was a good thing. So this spring I have been 2 times a week at my rehab center working out. I feel better and stronger even though I won´t the result faster...

So now I´m standing here without horses for the first time, I don´t have any and don´t work with any. And for someone how all her life has been the Horse girl that is hard. Lucky for me I have have had scrapbooking for a long time and that is what I spend my time on (I think you might have noticed) But of course it´s not the same, I don´t get that same adrenalin rush from scrapbooking. And the connection, that I really miss. So now once in a while my aunt asks me to go with here to competitions as a groom. I love going with her and being in a environment where I feel like home.

One day I will start riding again but in till then I am Julia the horsegroom

Here is from yesterday´s adventures:

O yes it´s that time of the year; Fairs!
I what better then to start of the season with the "Hem & trädgĂ¥rdsmässan"(Home & garden fair) in Ă…haga  BorĂ¥s?!

I convinced my aunt to go with me... I wasn´t very hard. She has as of last year a summer house and she is redoing it from floor yo sealing and I thought this would be perfect for her!

We have such similar taste it´s almost funny when we point at the same thing.
My aunt loves this stuff, it´s "Havtorn" and it´s some kind of super-power berry. It taste really good!
This was just such a cute idea
 I just love this guys!
There wasn´t very many furniture and the ones that was there where 90% for the outdoors. But this set is just so chic, talk about bringing the inside out!

How ever I do have to say I was a bit let down with this fair, it was small and frankly I had thought it to be more home decor and landscaping and a bit less about books and food... (It´s not everyday I have anything bad to say about too much books & food) Any way there was some good stuff there but I do have to think twice before going next year...

Yesterday, 14 of February, my dad, little brother and I went to BorĂ¥s Zoo. I just love going there and is one of the best things about living in BorĂ¥s. So we strolled around and had a really nice day. So I tough you might wanted to see some of the animals and their babes!

Can we start with this African goat? She is the cutest! If I ever got a goat it would be this one.
The giraffes seemed to have a romantic dinner, sheering a floating basket of hay.
And they have a baby, I think it´s a he, not even a month old :) So cute but he didn´t look too happy.
And the elephants have a mini too!
I don´t know if I just love the zebras because of their look or that they are striped horses?!
But in any case, they are beautiful!
But there is nothing wrong with spots ;)
Got a feeling that I wasn´t the only one alone on valentines...
His friend seemed to flirt more with the ones on the other side of the glass ;)
At lest the seal have each other
And the bunnies snuggled up together. <3
I hope that you had a good valentines and that if you ever end up in BorĂ¥s, you visit the Zoo!

O and I have a new video up in YouTube, you can click here on the sidebar :)

Happy Monday! I´m just going to start of by saying how much I love Advent, on the first all the lights come up in the windows and at night it´s almost magic.
But now, here are some pictures of my first Christmas fair behind the tables.

This day was so cold and I had so much clothes on I cloud hardly move.
Here is the jeweler frame I made last week, it works beautifully.
 Allot of pearls...
Guess how had the table next to me... My grandmother! She made this beautiful candles.

So now when it´s officially Christmas times I have holiday music on and you can expect allot of holiday projects :)

It´s my 19th year in this country called Sweden. This country has it all, the rain, the sun and the nature. It´s really amazing year round and November is not exemption. Even though I some times get sick of the rain or fear I´m going to freeze to an ice-cube, I love living here.

And right now it looks something like this...

My mom and I goes on this walks in our village with our cameras, she really is a geek ;)
If your inspiration isn´t flowing, this walks are perfect to get it going.

It feels just like the summer is over but we are all ready in the end of October! It has been a truly beautiful fall here in Sweden but the though of the cold winter and icy roads is not something that we long for. So I took out this two photos from the past summer.

All the paper are from dcwv and the washi tape are from panduro and pyhobby
The title is made with a prima alphas stamp set that I took a white pen to the bottom of the letters.
The brads are from one pack from Victoria´s design house. The round journal spot is from k&company.
I do love the Swedish summer and fall... The winter is very beautiful and so is the spring... Well I think I may survive the coming winter, but I think it´s a good idea to have some "summer time" to look at ;)

You can fined the pad here
It´s fall and as Halloween is coming up so I have made a summer layout. That is clear logic don´t you think. Any way I have used my new favorite paper pad. It´s the Dear Jane stack from DCWV. So if you are like me and love Jane Austen and that time area, this stack is for you.

Now till the layout.

I took three papers, a brown with fabric like texture, one that looks like a window with burlap and roses in. And the background in a paper with allot of letters on.

To break up the layout I put down burlap and lace across the page. I fastened the burlap and lace with three brads on either side. My photo in in one of the windows and then on a mat of the brown paper.

And now comes the fun things! Flowers and bling. Sens the photo is taken in the summer with the sun coming through I wanted to get that sort of magic feeling. The big pink rose is the flower from Monday and that helps to bring in the gold, together with the brads, leafs and bling. The burlap from the window I used for the title, My sweet HOME.

Unfortunately the last photo does not show the color really truly, but I hope you can get an idea.

Hello everyone, it´s Thursday and boy did I sleep in today! I got up out of m bed at 9:30! but I think it´s okay because I got home at ten yesterday. And I not really a night person but when they call me in to have riding lessons at Bollebygd ridklubb, I just could not say no. I think it´s one of the most fun things to do. But today I will not tell you to pull your heals done or have more action in your horse, today I´m just going to show you a page from my watercolor sketchbook.
So for you how don´t know what this is, it´s the red ridinghood. Concept art is the most fun to do and to this I used watercolor and red ink to get that real true red.
Well have a fun Thursday

Not very many people can work with their dreams. Stina does, she has a blooming craft business that is 20 years old. For the past 5 years she has been in a local 10  minuets from BorĂ¥s, in GĂ¥nghester. After looking though the webbshop and blog I headed over to the store.

The store is in a basement so the selling is rather low and their are only a few windows. The owner, Stina describes her store like a pantry. The word the comes to my mind while steeping in was more, the cave in Aladdin, filled with treasures. The atmosphere is so worm and welcoming and the girls that work there are so friendly. Every way you look there is inspiration and not just for cards or layout but for alters and paintings. All you want to do i to touch everything for their are so many pretty things to touch. Even tough the space is packed, everything is in it´s place and you can actually find things. And they have close to everything you need. Flowers, bling, papers from Maja Design to Prima. Maybe you are just in love with alter boxes, books or bird feeders, they have it!

You will definitely get inspired by the shabby chic/ vintage style int the store.

Lovely papers from Swedish designer like Pion and Maja Design and big brands like Prima and Graphic 45

Roses in all colors thinkable
Wood shapes ready for some paint and paper

An example of what you can do to the birdhouse
Everything in the store is done so cute, just the simple idea of hanging the stamps.

One of the many popular brands, Maja Design
Just imagine what you can do to this guy with the flowers and papers in the store.

I hope this will inspire you like it has inspired me. I will definitely go back soon and tell all of my fellow crafters.

You see this cutey, her name is Britta. She is only 6 weeks and not afraid of anything. This I´m not so sure is a good thing thou we live with hunting hounds... She loves the dogs and the dogs like her to, not in the same way but still. First I though she would live in my "studio" in the old stable. After two nights she now is in my bedroom.  She has gotten a litter box, like the one cat´s has but allot smaller. This she really loves, to lie in. Yup I´ve got a weird bunny.
