These are two of the first stamps I bought when starting scrapbooking. Feeling a bit nostalgic, remembering the the excitement of starting a new hobby I had to do something with these two! The super cute cat-stamp is call "cat o' lantern" by Penny Black 2001 and the "halloween" is from Kortmakaren.
To color these oldies I ventured out and tried something new, alcohol markers! I had picked up a few called "Le Plume" and I really liked how it came out! I soon realized that the more colors you have the better look you'll get but with the few I had, I'm really happy!
The card itself is really simple, that colored image is punched with a 2" circle, layered on vellum, some die-cuted copper leafs and a embossed sentiment on a dark-blue metallic card base.
I'm so happy with how these cards came out and I had a really great time making them! I did a batch of 5 and using this dark blue metallic card base made such an impact. Now I'll have to remember to post them!
I'm using my stamps more and more sens I got the Alt E New "Vintage Roses" set. I love playing with these stamps, both on layout and on cards. A few days ago I made some cards using this stamp set and some clear embossing, I love how it turned out!
After stamping 3 flowers with 2 layers in pink dye inks and took the first stamp of each and stamped over in "versa mark" and I stamped in the same ink with the leaf stamp. Sprinkle clear embossing powder and heat set. The embossing protected the stamped flowers and the white leafs when I painted over with watercolors.
Gold Heidi Shine, washi and some stitching, those are my favorits!
The alpha stamp is called "Brentano" from Papier Projekt and they are the best!
Sometimes a product comes along that you just love, like the stamp set in the new Maggie Holmes "Bloom" line. The bows are so cute and perfect for a backgrund paper like this layout or for a card.
This summer I at long last bought myself a Big Shot. I've been wanting one for... a very long time.
I already had a few dies but there was one set I just loved and had to have, the Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes -"Confetti! flower set!! I could see so many thing with this set and I haven't stopped playing with it sens.
One thing I love to do is my own leafs of watercolor paper. So this week I though I might show you how I make my watercolor flowers with two different techniques and how I use them, for cards and on Wednesday, on a layout.
I have done allot of leafs in other colors to add on my layouts and I just love them. It's a perfect project to sitt down with when one doesn't feel overly creative. I usually have a bowl of them on my desk, easy to grab.
They are perfect for cards, like this or cut from patterned paper. Use just the flower on a plain background or spice it up with some embellishments.
On these cards I made a bigger flower in yellow, green leafs with pink platters and mated on patterned paper.
A few pearls, gold twine and a pretty border and you have a easy but super cute card!
So like I said before I made two things with this lovely stamp and now I want to show you the card:
So to me she looks a little like a statue with flowers growing on her. So I colored her only with "pumice stone" distress marker and stamped in grey a crackle stamp on here. The flowers are colored with "mustard seed", "picked raspberry" , "spun sugar" & "ripe persimmon"
The sentiment on the card is "I will Statyr to you" like "I will stay true to you" (Statyr is Swedish for statue)
I really like this card with the fun colors and Joy looking so cool

Hello! Today I have a simple summer card to show you. It´s a bit more embellished but it´s really easy. The papers are from "My Minds Eye", and the background is embossed with ranger gold. Then the image are mated on a patterned paper and some off-white cardstock.
All of the flowers are sprayed with Lindy´s stamp gang- "Cotton Candy Pink"
Tilda is just colored with "Pumice Stone" and the hearts are "Spun Sugar" with glossy accent.
