Welcome to our website !
Hello!
My Fine & Dandy 6*6 pad is close to empty and my album is growing! Today I do 5 layouts in one sitting whit the goal of them to be cohesive. Doing two layouts  is hard, but 5! I first wanted to hit myself and my bad idea but then I thought: grid. grid designs are easy and always looks look!

Each layout is 4 boxes, two photos, one for journaling and one for embellishments. All layouts are built the same but whit some differences, the photo for example is placed so the puppy is looking in to the page, not of it.
The colors that dominate the layout is picked up from the second photo; of the detective that the puppy is named after. I love this shows and characters so naming the puppies after them was a must!
The papers are from Dear Lizzy "Fine & Dandy" and whit that I used a die-cut pack from Heidi Swapp "September Skies" and letter sticker from Tim Holtz.
To really emphasis the grid I took black thread and saw around each card/ photo. And as you can see, I did need allot of paper or embellishments to make each look cute and finished!
When doing this layouts I worked on them all at the same time, first matting and then embellishments and the journaling. If I didn´t know what to add or what to do next whit one I put it aside and continued on the next. This way I did the same steps at the same time on all of them.
All of the layouts look different but it´s clear that they belong together. Doing so many layout whit the same feel is so easy when working whit a grid!

Hello!
I have something really fun going on! It´s a personal challenge (like I need another...) and I love for you to play along. All you need is a 6x6 paper pad that you haven´t used, don´t know how to use or just find challenging. I have been eyeing the Fine & Dandy pad by Dear Lizzy for quit a time, thinking that I
wouldn´t like it, it wasn´t for me and had the "wrong" colors. But I can´t resist a challenge so I got the pad and now three layout later I find it so fun and energetic to work whit!

Here is the first layout, a A4 witch is new for me. I wanted to focus on the photo and layer all of this fun patterns to add interest. Also a thin strip at the top and bottom to frame the layout.
Mixing collections can be tricky but here with the Fine & Dandy I used tiny word stickers from Confetti by Maggie Holmes and they work so well together. I think that this papers need some extra... humf. And the best way to humf it up is by using black, like this stickers and ink drops.
Another thing that works so well is gold! Here I have my favorite thickers; Sentiment.
Some times you get ahead of your self and don´t notice that you are making a mistake.  Like gluing done the letters of the title before you´ve checked to see if you have them all...E... And bye the time you come up with a fix...3... you´ve put the ltters in the wrong order... It was a good day
Any how, moving on, the pretty wood hears are painted with a serious hot pink nail-polish. And also I didn´t mention that the photo is layered first on light pink tissue paper. I have to say that I love using it for the lightness and texture and lightness. Did I say that twice? good.
This is a very clean and simple layout so I wanted some action in the background, pink and black mist. I truly believe that if you want to work with soft and warm colors without it getting to "soffty-girly-pinki" you have to add something to humf it. Black is a sure card and also metallic, to break the sugar feel.

Hello everyone!

I have some really exiting news, our Kerstin has given birth to 5 happy and healthy puppies the 20th of may! They are all doing well and are quit big! So now I will spend 90% of my waking time staring at them.

Naming this this little precious is a big deal so I decided to pick names from my favorite movies/ books.  The boys are all red witch is rather odd sens neither Kerstin or the father is red. It´s Kerstins grandmother how has that color but that is rather far back. Any way we are so happy that the red came through!

Here they are:

Hello!
It´s Tuesday and I´m about to show you my week 40! For this week I made a kit for project life and two layouts. I started with two papers from Basic Grey "wisteria"  after that I took some cards from the "Good Times" value pack from Becky Higgins. So this was my base and then I picked different  bits and pieces.

For this week I decided to make a full spread for two reasons; I had so many photos that I wanted to incorporate and I wanted to use as much as I could from the kit...
This page design is from Simple Stories- Sn@p and I love that you get vertical and horizontal photos and the long 12x2. That strip of course you can embellish and use the space more then I did but I just wanted that amazing paper! So on this page it´s very bare, a title card and a few nature photos. The 4x6 filler card I just painted with black ink "The sky is awake" witch is a quote from from Frozen.
On the right side I have more I have more journaling. The October card is lilac water-color and black ink. My favorite photo is the one on the far right of Fridolf. I love the light and he fact that he looks normal... I hardly ever get a photo of him, let alone one where he looks good. I also decided to to take a screen-shot of my phone. I see this everyday but in five years I most certainly will have forgot what apps I used everyday.
I did went with a simple title card, witch I don´t normally pick. I tend to go with the cards where I can journal but sens I did a double spread I picked this cute one. Half a doily and the ticket is from the "Notes & Things" from Crate paper. So simple and the gold helps to bring the left and right sides together,
On this design you have two 3x4 card and I picked two from Instagram, one is of our Cinnamon-buns and one is from Wilna Fursenburg. The 4 of October is the Cinnamon-buns day in Sweden and of course that has to be celebrated and the other is just "hey, I´m in the art & design class"
The "October" is painted on watercolor paper and the cut out old school- pint & cut...
I also worked on have the heart brads on the page and I really like them.
I love this 3x4 from the "Notes & Things" that looks like a tiny book cover. And what better then a dymo label?

I hope that you like this spread as much as I do! This week I have two layouts to show you so look out on Wednesday and Friday!

Have a great week

 Hello Thursday!
Todays layout is made with the same papers as I used for Project Life w 39 . I have said before that I wanted to challenge myself in Project life and not only use the same "DIY-Shop" but to try different things. So far I have used the Maggie Holmes "Flea Market" and Teresa Collins "Life Emporium" 6x6 pad.

So for this week I decided to take this beautiful paper pack from We R- "Indian Summer".

I started with a photo from the week that didn´t make it in to the album. I made it black & white so that I could use any color I wanted without thinking of it going against the papers.  I also wanted to use more tiny embellishments, like the reins and wood veneers.
I used a old pen-nip for writing with a liquid acrylic ink.  The type looks so different depending on what pen you use and using an old pen is not just fun but visually interesting.
I wanted allot of layers on this layout with allot of colors and patterns. This mustered yellow and teal is so amazingly perfect but it won´t be too much sens the black and grey keep up the contrast.  The quot is a PL card from the "Good Times" value pack.
I used some stickers from the pack together with with some gold resin/ heart, wood veneer and enamel dots. The gold goes so well with this colors and especially the teal backgrounder.
The finishing touch has to be some black ink splatter. I use liquid acrylic and I love how fast it dries.

I hope that you liked this layout and video, have a great weekend and see you on Tuesday!

I say  puppy and you will think of this:

And yes this is how they look when you come to pick them up to take home with you. But For me and for everybody how breed dogs, this is not what we see. So sit back, take a sip of tea and let me tell you about 8 weeks of cuteness, laughter and allot of poo...

Lets´start with the first week. Here is Kersin the day after (the puppies came, as they so often do, in the late evening) Now every dog is different but this is how it was for us. The first day Kerstin was tiered and didn´t like for us to be too close. This is really good. This mean that she feels that this are hers and hers to take care of.   Day two we could with no problem handle the puppies, she feed them and took care of them.
This is Florin and Penny just a few days old. At this time they look more like rats but they are cute, in a ugly way. When they are at this age they eat and sleep. Kerstin lick´s them to make them do their thing. This she will take care of for the next 4 weeks. So for us what we do is to make sure they gain wight and that Kerstin is okej.
This first week they grow, allot. That´s all they do, growing. At 2 weeks they start to open their eyes, you can see here on Lira that she has eye-lids (how every she is sleeping) When they do open their eye, slowly and a little more each day, the eyes looks blue. This is just for a few days and then they become darker. Well for this breed but there are other breeds with blue eye.
When the puppies was born it´s was the start of July and that is when it got really warm here in Sweden. This was a problem for Kerstin, this was just to warm for her to lay with her puppies all day long. That puppies where laying on two thick blankets in the puppy-box, it would be to uncomfortable for them to be closer to the floor. But this made it even warmer for Kersin. So we put a fan in, blowing away form the puppies, just to keep the air moving and when Kerstin would feed them we put a wet cloth on her. It was really impotent to make sure that she drank allot of water witch we had to convince her to do.
Every other day the changed the blankets in the puppy-box. To keep it clean and Kerstin dragged durt in seens she was outside allot. So her you can see them having a picnicking. The first weeks we have the puppy-box in our laundry, for that simple reason that here she could by alone in peace but still close to the door so she could easily go out.
When they where 4 weeks we moved them from the tiny puppy-box to our kitchen (well where we had our kitchen table, we moved out, now eating breakfast next to the TV) So now they had much more space to run around. At 3-4 week they start to look and act like really puppies. Open eyes and some tail-waggling. At this point we start to introduces dog food. It´s wet and then mushed, just like baby food. The first days the point is just to get them used to have something other them milk in their mouth. They soon come to love it.
Bye 5 weeks they like it and eats more, how ever little Leone here how looks way to small was the one how always cleaned up. That is also a impotent thing to remember, puppies are just like children, different. Leone is not build the same ways as say Dollar that is very... round. And it´s so easy to just see that she is tiny or he doesn´t play as much or she sleeps too much. Keep calm and try to see the hole picture. Like Leone, we where afride she didn´t eat enough but if that was the case she would have been tired and not wanting to play... witch she did, more then the others. You know what they say... tiny but tough.
at 5 weeks we let them out for about 30 minutes at the time. At 35 minutes they where all asleep. They eat more dog food but still drink milk from Kerstin. Kerstin in not very interested in her puppies from the point that we started to give them real food, that is all she care about (the food). Of course she let them drink and cleans them but if she comes out a realises that there is no food she will head inside again. It´s normal for the mom to focus allot on food after having puppies. She needs allot of food to feed all 7 of them. When I wright this the puppies are 10 weeks and she is even worse so like I said, all stories are different.
As they get bigger and more secure on their legs that run more and play harder. From that they where 4 weeks I have been home with them alone from about 7 to 15-16 o´clock. So we are outside allot and this is so important for them! When they are outside they can move better. Inside that floors are usually hard for them to walk on slip often witch makes them hesitant to play and move. But outside on grass that won´t slip and can there for play and move more. This of course is so good for their growth both inside and out. Their musculus develop and they get comfidens in trying new things.
Another thing that has been very good for them is this tunnel. I have used this allot when playing with them and I think this is one of the reasons why they are so calm in their self. When they got it they started to check it out and then go through it. And that´s all good but I saw this as a tool and I started to shake it when they where running in it. Well after a few days every time I shook it all came running to run through it. They loved it so then I started to drag it. And they loved it. Then I dragged it over them, no reaction. This I made over two weeks and now they don´t care what I do with it. I can trough it up or in the ground and sens it´s light it bounces away. Still they don´t care. Witch was my goal.
For example I was going to take the puppies inside to let them sleep but after five still two where out and I couldn´t see them. turned out Lira had fallen asleep in the tunnel, that layed on top of Florin- Mission Accomplished!
So at 8 week, that is when they go to their new family, the goal is that they are healthy and strong both inside and out. That they are ready for the new home. A puppy should be active, wanting to play and bite things. Not to fun but this means that the teeth are coming out, just like on little babies. Now every puppy is different but if you are to pick up a puppy that won´t come to you, don´t play with the others or doesn´t look healthy. You should question it. There is so many breeders that put their heart and soul in to their dogs and then there are those how don´t. In this case you pick with your heart.

So you see when I look at Peso I don´t see a cute puppy, I see the past 8 weeks (well 10 in his case), that feels like 8 years, I see him as a rat. I see how he plays with the others and that he can escape from anything. (yesterday in was 12 times... and counting) I see him and know I have done all I can for him and his new family.

8 weeks, 2 month. It has been a time I won´t forget. When they opened their eyes or the first time they wagged their tail. The fisrt time they barked, well we call it that, they where more supried then I was. On Sunday they will be 10 weeks and Peso and Florin are the last ones to go. Then it will only be Penny /Wiola left. Then the seconded part starts. And I can´t wait to see her grow up as a part in our family. And to all of you how thinking of getting a puppy or take a litter, here are my edvice:
Have fun this first weeks goes to fast soon
they will have left / grown up.

This is my experience and it´s not my kennel or my puppies. It´s my parents how started a kennel but I´m the lucky one to got to spend every day with them.

Now I have to got and let them out before they break out <3
Thank you for stopping bye and good Luck!

Love Julia

Hello happy Tuseday!

I have a new process video to show you and of course it week 37 pages.

So like I said last week, I´m trying something new. and in true Julia-spirit I´m making it into a challenge! So every week I will try a new kit/pad/brand. As you may have noticed the last couple of weeks I have used the DIY SHOP kit from Becky Higgens . So this week I going to go with....

Maggi Holmes Flea Market Mini Kit
This kit I got that same time as I ordered my Project life stuff. At first glans I just loved it but as it turned out, I found it hard to use. So that is why I pick it for this week.
On my week I have a simple Stories page protector and 3 4x6 photos. This week was very... well not much happened so I have this photo from around our farm. I love the colors so I picked the grey-ish cards from the flea-market kit I have 2 3x4 "photos" the on top is from Pintsres and the one with nail-polish are a Julia K original ;)

Last week I made a insert out of a design D and wasn´t sure how to get the most use out of the rest. So I went to the Papperclipping Forum and asked the lovely members for advise. So here is what I did. Turned it to a design A and made holes in the pockets. Not very fancy but it works.

On this page I know I wanted the photo, the lipstick card and the 4x6 journaling card (both made by me) But the rest I didn´t know what to do. So I decided to make a card for each puppy, to wright about them now that most of them are leaving.

On the back side the cards continue and the 4x6 photos are from the same day as the photo on the other side. (we have a week 8 photoshoot and this photos are "behind the scenes")
The week 8 page have cards from the Flea market kit but like my week now embellishments just plain. But now looking at it I don´t think it´s plain the cards are so pretty but don´t take away from the photos. On this page I have 3 journaling cards and 4 photos. As you might can guess we had the vet check this week and they where so good!
This was my week 37 and the puppies week 8. I hope you liked this week and to see you next Tesuday for week 38. But I´ll have a new layout up on Thursday I hope to see you then!

                                                        *Process video!*

Hello happy Tuesday everybody! I hope you have had a great weekend and feel ready to take on this week.
I thought, sens it´s Tuesday, I´d sheer my project life week 34 with you.

So here is my process for right now. One layout for MY week and one layout for the puppies. I want to have them in my album (I´m making a mini PL album for my mom) but I don´t want to have them in MY week. I want their pages so all of the focus is on them.
So here is my week 34. As you can see I mix black & white with color, corner with rounded edges and "pretty" photos with Iphone photos. I´m just happy I´m getting it in the album.

I keeped it rather clean, just washi-tape, letter sticker and resins/ wood veneers.
The PL cards I used are from DIY value Kit and the 4x6 are from my own Blush mini kit
Same thought with the puppies week 5 page. Here are all the cards from the DIY value kit and then some letter stickers and Studio Calico wood veneers.

This photos I desaturated quite allot. This room is pine and that gets really orange on camera (depending on what time it is) so to not get this page be all orange that is what i did.

I hope you liked this spread and have a great week and see you next Tuesday for week 35!

Love Julia
