Happy Saturday to you all! I have a something really special to show you today! It´s me first mini album in years! (a part from the prima class... that was a huge inspiration!!) I´m so happy with this album and I have taken allot of photo! and HERE is a video where I show the mini and talk about it... allot...
Here are some details:
measurements: 6"*6,5"
Paper: My Mindes Eye- Lost & Found "Sunshine"
Flowers& Leafs: Prima, metal, pyhobby roses & "Julia´s book-page roses"
Bling: Prima "Time traveler" & pyhobby pearl-swirl
The tags are made from left over paper and some bling & leafs
I kid you not when I say I have no paper left! The hole pad is in this album! It feel so good to know that I used up as much scrap-paper as possible! I just love this Lost & Found papers and at that same time I didn´t want to much on the pages. So how ever gets it have room to put in their photos and journaling. I put on some 4*4" photo mates in an off-white cardstock, some are glued down and some are in the pockets.
I´m so happy with this mini that I have already started on a new one :)
The weather has gone back to the way it usually is... rainy. So sense it has been raining I thought I would take Britta inside so she could dry off and get nice and warm... No! She is so mad and every-time I get near her she stamps and lets me know; She does not want to be inside! So I guess she will go back to live outside... crazy bunny.
This ties is so well with today´s card witch has the theme: "Friendship"
Papers from MME- Lost & Found "Rosy" & "Sunshine"

Some times it´s the simplest things that makes the biggest impact. Just a black pen is all you need.
The background is regular clear glue mixed with liquid pearl and distress ink- mustered seed. I used a roller to smear it out. When it´s almost dry, sprayed with water.
By spraying water on you get that watercolor effect.

Some thinks it´s scary to draw with black pens but if you build up with allot of lines on one can tell if you made one line wrong.
The thing about a art journal- smash book is to try out new things, I used to avoid yellow but now I tackle it head on.Love Julia
I got so inspired from the scrapbook fair this weekend so I made a layout using the stuff I bought. The papers is from Maja Design- Blomstertid and then I used perfect pearls and Lindy´s stamp gang on the background. With this layout I wanted to use the mica´s to get that effect of looking down in the lake, like my brother is doing on the photo.
To get that feeling I sprayed a teal color end then dabbed with gold paint. Then I used a glue pen to glue down mica flecks and then some gold pearls. The color of the mica's is in tea-stained, bronzed tarnished and pearl.
The flowers is in the same color as the paper, blue and yellow, just like our Swedish flag ;) I used allot of leaf and gold rhinestones in the center.
The butterfly I made using mod podge mold and melts. The butterfly is painted in acrylic paint, bottle, and then soft brushed over with gold.
This is a really summer layout and I love how the "bottom of the lake" turned out with the mica flecks.

Now till the layout.

I took three papers, a brown with fabric like texture, one that looks like a window with burlap and roses in. And the background in a paper with allot of letters on.
To break up the layout I put down burlap and lace across the page. I fastened the burlap and lace with three brads on either side. My photo in in one of the windows and then on a mat of the brown paper.
And now comes the fun things! Flowers and bling. Sens the photo is taken in the summer with the sun coming through I wanted to get that sort of magic feeling. The big pink rose is the flower from Monday and that helps to bring in the gold, together with the brads, leafs and bling. The burlap from the window I used for the title, My sweet HOME.
Unfortunately the last photo does not show the color really truly, but I hope you can get an idea.
