Looking for a challenge? Maybe this is the one for you. Yesterday you  could see how to mask this image and I made two. So I though would make two different card using the image and the pink card as a base.

The first card is a clean and romantic card with black accents. Black washi tape from Panduro to frame the image and black rhinestones in the centers of some of the stamped flowers.

The rhinestone swirl is from Pyhobby and the big flower is mixed from a Prima pillar. White as the base then a organza in light lilac and the topper is a pink hydrangea with twisted petals. The leafs are from the same pillar and the brad in the center is from Victoria's design house

The second card is more shabby with distressed edges and metal embellishment. Paper in the background is from Panduro and DCWV. Adding the different metal brads and staples gives it a rawer feel and will be more shabby.

The flowers is from Prima and the leafs is some the I found somewhere. Here you can see that the brads in silver and gold.

The first I wanted sweet and romantic and the second more at the shabby and distressed. 

This really fun to start out with the same base and take two styles and see what happens.

Masking is fun and easy. This is how I do it.

You´ll need chosen stamps, I have two for the motive and one for the background. both from Magnolia. Ink pad, watercolor-paper and scrap paper. 

Start with the stamp you want in the foreground. 

Stamp the same stamp on scrap paper, I have some book pages. Cut it out and and put it on over the motive. 

Now I stamp the boy, he will be behind the girl. 

Cover him in the same way with scrap paper. 

The background is using this flower stamp.

Then I spry with this pink mist from Lindy´s stamp gang.

And this is how it looks all done. Black and with pink. See it´s easy the only thing that takes time is cuting out the images out of scrap paper. Save this cut outs so you don´t have to cut out them every time.

This Saturday I doped off my little brother at his tennis class and deiced to pop in to Magnolia to pass the time. When I got there I was a bit surprised that the store was filled with people and it was not even 10 o`clock.  Only I could forget something as the Magnolia Day, but no one elas had. So I took some papers and four stamps that was 10% off. I totlaly missed that it was 50% off on thiere flowers, well well.

But today it´s Monday and that is flower makeover time. So today is a easy but very cute technique that is perfect for spring and fall flowers.

So the steps is flower, glitter glue, pipe the edges. Done! 

For the fall flowers I like to use gold to get that golden fall feeling. For spring or winter, I go for the colder colors, like the ones that are clear with blue/green/lilac glitter. If you want the hole flower to get glittered, put it on the center on the petal and smear it out with your finger.

I have just read the cutest book,  The Hat shop on the corner by

Marita Conlon-Mckenna 

. It´s about a young women hat after her mothers death decides to take over her shop and keep making hats. Though out the book you follow Ellie and her costumers in Dublin.
This is the Swedish cover and I just love the teal blue hats and all the gold. People may say; don´t judge a book bay it´cover. But the book I look at are pretty and that's that.

How ever after reading this book I felt inspired to paint something with a hat. Just by the way, I think it´s so fun to see what happens when you just let go. I though I was going to make a hat... But then my love of the 1800- centenary got involved...

On the hat I may have used some stickels and some glimmer... But what would life be with out some glitz and glam?

I got this sketchbook with watercolor pages and I absolutely love it. I have done some pages that I really like.

I really like that I can flip though the pages and work on more then one at the time. And the paper quality is really nice. When more pages are filled they will come up here.

This are my top 10 "tools" for scrapbooking and if I could only take ten stuff with me this would be them:

The hatpin may look small and insignificant but it´s one of my most used "tools" . It´s perfect for fixing glue that clogged up or placing tiny thing on card or layouts. Long live the hatpin!

Photos, we have them everywhere and this weekend I decided to put my foot down and organize my photos. I had this old white box that I sprayed with gold spry. The sides I put on paper from the circus collection from Panduro. On the front I cut out the little ballerina and added a dymo.  The lied has now a paper from magnolia. This box could be decorated to perfection and maybe I will but for now you can see how I store my photos.

Now I can easily see all of my photos, they are categorized under categories like: horses, cats, school and holidays. The dividers are just a bit bigger then the photos and are easy to cut and to make more off. Now this photos are from the past years but is you have a hole lifetime of photos you can have more boxes, one for each year or maybe one for holidays, one for the family and one for the pets. This is now a gold box filed with golden moments.
