Welcome to our website !
Hello happy Tuseday!

I have a new process video to show you and of course it week 37 pages.

So like I said last week, I´m trying something new. and in true Julia-spirit I´m making it into a challenge! So every week I will try a new kit/pad/brand. As you may have noticed the last couple of weeks I have used the DIY SHOP kit from Becky Higgens . So this week I going to go with....

Maggi Holmes Flea Market Mini Kit
This kit I got that same time as I ordered my Project life stuff. At first glans I just loved it but as it turned out, I found it hard to use. So that is why I pick it for this week.
On my week I have a simple Stories page protector and 3 4x6 photos. This week was very... well not much happened so I have this photo from around our farm. I love the colors so I picked the grey-ish cards from the flea-market kit I have 2 3x4 "photos" the on top is from Pintsres and the one with nail-polish are a Julia K original ;)

Last week I made a insert out of a design D and wasn´t sure how to get the most use out of the rest. So I went to the Papperclipping Forum and asked the lovely members for advise. So here is what I did. Turned it to a design A and made holes in the pockets. Not very fancy but it works.

On this page I know I wanted the photo, the lipstick card and the 4x6 journaling card (both made by me) But the rest I didn´t know what to do. So I decided to make a card for each puppy, to wright about them now that most of them are leaving.

On the back side the cards continue and the 4x6 photos are from the same day as the photo on the other side. (we have a week 8 photoshoot and this photos are "behind the scenes")
The week 8 page have cards from the Flea market kit but like my week now embellishments just plain. But now looking at it I don´t think it´s plain the cards are so pretty but don´t take away from the photos. On this page I have 3 journaling cards and 4 photos. As you might can guess we had the vet check this week and they where so good!
This was my week 37 and the puppies week 8. I hope you liked this week and to see you next Tesuday for week 38. But I´ll have a new layout up on Thursday I hope to see you then!

It´s the last part of project Wilna so I thought that what would be more perfect then allot of colors and gold?!

Here we have the last layout, to sum it up in there words: Color, Gold & paper-skirt.

And this are the word that I will take with me. How ever that colors here are very warm and the skirt is light. Almost so light that it get lost.

Here are the process video and the blog post.

I went with a higher contrast and cooler colors.

When you think of it, the layout don´t have that many layers but the title adds allot. Different fonts and colors will trick the eye to think that it´s more then there is...

To ground the photo I used a gold doily and a embossed vellum. The vellum is embossed with white powder over chandelier stamps. Love how it turned out.
My skirt is darker and feels heavier then Wilnas. I think it goes with the layout but I do like hers lighter better...

That is it of Project Wilna. I loved this challenge that I set myself. I loved taking a layout and making it my own, seeing the similaritys and the differences. I will never make layouts like Wilna but that doesn´t mean I don´t love what she does and can be inspired by them.
I have learned allot during this 5 week and so happy that I got the Idea.

Now next week I have a spot in her new class over at BPC and believe me: I can´t wait!

Thank you all for checking out my videos and reading my rambling and hope that you have a great weekend

Love Julia

Hello! We are going in to September here is my first week:

This week I decided to just go with my "routine" (The DIY kit from Becky Higgins and black letter stickers from Panduro) I had allot of journaling for this week so I picked the cards with wood-grain. I really like this page and it only have ONE embellishment, the golden Studio Calico heart.

Like I said I had allot of journaling so I tried this pocket from Simple Stories- Sn@p.
In the pocket I have a journaling-card and underneath is another photo. (you can hear my rambelling about this in the process video ;)

So that was the main page (design A) but I also wanted to 3 4x6 vertical photos from the No Limit street art. So I took a design D and cut of the first row. Then I just took my mini stapler and put them in the top & bottom corners. Not so fancy but it works.

And of course when I got to the puppy-part the light was way to bad! But here it is. This is a page protector from Simple Stories so I don´t know what it´s called but I like that it´s like the trusted Design A but a bit different. On this page I didn´have as much journaling and I wanted to try something new. So I took the DIY-cards that had butterflies! I know I´m so wild!

Maybe next week I´ll try some new cards
have a great week

Hello and welcome to part 4 of Project Wilna! Today we will take on this layout called Be Mine. You can check out  Wilnas blogpost  before you read on.

So Welcome back! Let´s get down to businesses: This layout caught my eye with the pretty colors and the "waterfall" of embellishments on the right side. I don´t like valentines layouts but this one dosen´t scream it. So what I´ll take with my is 3 things.
1. the photo. I like that even thought there is allot of going on the photo isn´t lost.
2. the waterfall.
3. the stamping with the roller-date- stamp. This is something that I think is so Wilna.

Here is the finished layout, as you can see, not so similar... Changing the colors and patterns makes a huge difference. The papers are all from the Best of Crate Paper that pad has allot of "cut-out"-papers that is perfect!
Most of the waterfall is from that paper pad, how ever I do have some American Crafts chipborads and a wooden heart. I´m so happy with this part and just cutting out all of those flowers!
I have a hard time with rub-ons and I don´t like them any more after this time... Any how, what ever happens on a scrapbook page you can fix! (99% ) The title is Project Life letter in light grey.
The roller-date-stamp and then the finishing journaling.
It´s not one of my most amazing layouts but I think that is part of why I like it. It´s just; nice... And I think it´s nice to do nice layouts and still think they are nice...

I hope you liked my rambling and to see you all next week for the last part :)
have a amazing weekend

Hello and happy Tuesday!

I have a new project life process video to show you but it´s only "my" week and not the puppies. My camera shot of during the puppy part BUT I do have photos!

Week 35 look like this.
I have started to see a pattern in ow I do my week, 3 4x6 and one of them is of the sky/ nature. 2 3x4 and a mix of color and black and white.  Now the card I have is (4x6) wood grain from yours truly, the first 3x4 is from My Mind´s Eye- Blush and I made it a while back. It has a poem made out of words from an old book that I cut out and put into a "poem". The seconed is from Becky Higgins DIY kit.
I really like this page, the colors and the studio Calico wood hearts! The hearts and arrows and the letter stickers from Panduro is my go to stuff. I have made several weeks with just that.

For the puppy page I tried something different... More color and just more stuff. The title card I made on water color paper with Gelatos and gold spray. I then stamped the week, added washi-tape and journaled. The gold studio Calico heart just had to finish it. I used the purple letter stickers on this page with arrow and cold flowers.

In the end I like this page but not crazy for it. I think it´s the second 3x4 card with the cold resin flowers and the washi-tape. It just doesn´t look good. I´m seriously thinking about changing out that card...
This was my week 35 and I have already started on week 36! Now I love Mondays and Tusedays because that is my project life days! Now have a great week and I hope to see you all of Friday for part 4 of project Wilna!
Love Julia

Hello and happy Friday to you all! I have a new layout that was inspired by Wilna.
I love how light and fun this layout is. using 6x6 paper in a new way and creating that lightness between papers and photo with those butterflies. So what I take with me is the the layout as a hole the colors I will change and do something different for the transition.

Here is her process video check it out and if you already have; let´s get in to it!

So the papers that I went with is from Crate Paper and it´s the Best Of 180 papers. I took 6 Maggie Holmes papers and cut them down to 6x6 and the rest to 6x2,5.  The white cardstock I mated on this grey zebra stripped paper from the same pad. (don´t know from witch collection)
I wanted this to be really light and fun so I took 3 super tiny doilys, wrinkled them up and sicked them down with pearl brads. The butterflies I cut out by hand and not very good... But some sequins makes everything better!
The vellum lable is from Crate Paper- Notes & Things Ephemera pack  and I just wrote my name and on the stripes below I printed from my computer things I love to do. I took a font that looks like a old typewriter and  them colored in grey. I think black would have been to much.
This layout don´t have allot of dimension but distressing the edges makes a huge differences! I would love to have sewed it down but my sewing machine has taking a break and will not wake up... If you catch my drift...
I´m so happy with this "flowers" the doilys are light, airy and so me!
It wouldn´t be a Wilna page without paint splatter, here I took a light pink and a rich teal that matches the rose-steams in the 6x6 paper.

I so love the page and I hope yo like it too! Don´t forget to check out the process videos (all videos in the Project Wilna series are HERE)
I hope that you´ll have a great weekend and to see you next Friday for part 5!

Love Julia

Hello happy Tuesday everybody! I hope you have had a great weekend and feel ready to take on this week.
I thought, sens it´s Tuesday, I´d sheer my project life week 34 with you.

So here is my process for right now. One layout for MY week and one layout for the puppies. I want to have them in my album (I´m making a mini PL album for my mom) but I don´t want to have them in MY week. I want their pages so all of the focus is on them.
So here is my week 34. As you can see I mix black & white with color, corner with rounded edges and "pretty" photos with Iphone photos. I´m just happy I´m getting it in the album.

I keeped it rather clean, just washi-tape, letter sticker and resins/ wood veneers.
The PL cards I used are from DIY value Kit and the 4x6 are from my own Blush mini kit
Same thought with the puppies week 5 page. Here are all the cards from the DIY value kit and then some letter stickers and Studio Calico wood veneers.

This photos I desaturated quite allot. This room is pine and that gets really orange on camera (depending on what time it is) so to not get this page be all orange that is what i did.

I hope you liked this spread and have a great week and see you next Tuesday for week 35!

Love Julia
